Back in the Saturn Again.

Well, I'm back in the Vue again, and it seem to be driving ok. The problem seems to have been with an engine wiring harness jumper and a hybrid resolver circuit. The installed harness was causing a high resistance on the resolver circuits, which led to the battery light being triggered as an alarm of some sort, which led to the 12 volt battery being drained. Or something like that.

In any event, I'm back in the Saturn. Here's hoping I don't have to go back again too soon!

Congrats! No more Cobalt - woot!

I have have a VUE Hybrid, 7-8 months old, 18,000 miles on it and just had exactly the same thing happen to me.
I am picking up the car tomorrow (hopefully) and will let you know if their explanation/repair is different from yours.

Finally got the paper work back on what they did to VUE. Since the car broke down in a different state, it took awhile for the paper work to catch up to me.
Hope this helps anyone who is having the same problems with the battery and engine lights coming on.

So this is what they did:

C/S total electrical hybrid system failure. Perform Diagnosis circuit test, found codes P0AA1, P0A4B. SGM is not charging the 12 volt or 36 volt batteries. Refer to bulletin 070603004 reprogram PCM, Perform Hybrid battery disconnect 12 volt system. Remove 4 circuit from wiring harness. Install jumpers Harness.

What was repaired? Harness ASM-Engine Wiring Jumper, Module, powertrain control - Engine reprogramming.

In plain English....they reprogrammed the computer and put in a new plug. Whatever this plug is.......it seems to be the main life link of Vue Hybrid. I hope they wrapped it up in about 10 miles of Duct tape.
